Welcome to Ha'penny Design, your one-stop destination for unique, Irish-made treasures that blend creativity with a commitment to sustainability. We're a small, independent design store based in the heart of Ireland, and we're on a mission to redefine how you experience art and gifting.
At Ha’penny Design, we believe in the power of local craftsmanship. That's why all our products are made in Ireland, supporting our local economy and reducing carbon emissions. Our commitment to sustainability extends to our sourcing – we carefully select suppliers and materials within Ireland wherever possible.
As proud members of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland, we are committed to preserving the rich heritage of Irish craftsmanship while embracing a more eco-conscious future.
Sustainability
Our dedication to the environment is woven into every aspect of our business:
Reused Packaging: We don't just recycle; we upcycle. Any plastic we use, like bubble wrap, has been thoughtfully reused from incoming shipments. This way, we minimise waste and lessen our impact on the planet.
Biodegradable Packaging: Our prints and greeting cards are packaged using 100% biodegradable, plant-based materials. We're committed to eliminating plastic from our packaging to protect the environment.
Island-Made Excellence: All our products are proudly produced on the island of Ireland and all materials are sourced from Irish suppliers.
Electric Transport: To further reduce our carbon footprint, we operate a fully electric vehicle, ensuring that our emissions are significantly lower when producing and shipping our products.
Unseen Sustainability: Our commitment to eco-friendliness extends behind the scenes, with 100% recycled paper for general printing, chemical-free plant-based cleaning products, and paper-based tapes instead of plastics.
Meet The Maker
Hi, I’m Michelle Goode, I set up Ha’penny Design in 2019. My background is in graphic design, with a degree in Design Communication from Munster Technological University. I initially founded Ha'penny Design as a part-time endeavor to explore my creative side. I’m delighted that in 2023, I made the leap to devote my full-time energy into Ha'penny Design, with many more products and designs in the pipe-line.
Our Products
With sustainability in mind, we create colourful, high quality giclée prints to ensure your print’s vivid colours last a lifetime; beautiful wooden postcards which double up as a unique pieces of wall art; and environmentally friendly greeting cards.
Inspiration
Nostalgia Meets Contemporary Elegance
At Ha'penny Design, our illustrations draw inspiration from the vintage charm of bygone eras, such as the classic tourism posters of the 1950s and pulp art of the 1960s. We take pride in creating colourful, elegant designs that brighten your walls and evoke a sense of nostalgia.
